English Town Renames Itself Kings Landing After Game Of Thrones

The city of Kings Langley will be temporarily renaming itself Kings Landing for one week as part of a promotion for the upcoming release of Game of Thrones season 3 on DVD and Blu-ray. It all came about when an executive producer for the show heard of the similarly named town while waiting for a train. An executive producer of the hit TV show heard Kings Langley read out as a stop while waiting for an Inter-City train at Euston and contacted Dacorum Borough Council to organise the name change. Kings Landing is the main city in the TV show and Susan Lea at Dacorum Borough Council said she hopes businesses and restaurants will get involved during the week beginning February 17. So, for a limited time, you can book a trip to one of the most famous cities in Westeros, just without all the brothels, back-stabbing, and poltical machinations.
